Zambia’s second worst road

Something we have finally concluded, we are more water people than desert people, this no doubt has something to do with Kevin growing up in Wales and me by the sea. We have indulged in some beautiful hot springs and then lake Tanganyika to ensure we are well hydrated.

The hot springs were tested morning, noon and night come sunshine or torrential down pour.

Lake Tanganyika has been just gorgeous for Christmas. We have indulged in some diving to see the largest variation of cichlids in the world. Also we have whet our appetite for diving and snorkelling in Malawi and Mozambique.

Though getting here was on Zambia’s second worst road with 110 miles taking about 5 bone crunching hours. Not technical just extremely badly maintained – we have the same stretch to look forward to again tomorrow.

In a couple days we should find ourselves on the shores of lake Malawi for some more fish, water and generally kicking back.

I trust everyone’s festive season is going well. Until 2016 play safely.

  1. Well happy new year to you both! I would normally say, I hope that 2016 is better than the last…. But your still completing the trip of a lifetime.

Once again – Happy New Year and hope the road was a bit better than you expected!! Keep the photos coming when you can – my daughter loves them and is tracking you.. All the very best
